Choral Clinic with Budi Utomo Prabowo - St. Francis Assisi Catolic Church - South Jakarta 30 July 2008

It is nice to create new choral event. It is a new concept of choir development in my church. The old conservative concept about how to develop choir just only from seminar or workshop with one way communication from the speaker. Now... it's change. We want the two way communication and also participation from choir.

The choral clinic will be conducted by one of Indonesian maestro - Budi Utomo Prabowo (Tommy Prabowo). It is being an honour for us to have him leading the choral clinic. We all know he is a very busy man with a bulk of schedule to teach and conduct music everywhere.

PS: I;ve booked him since last February. ... ( advance booking right...eheheh)

Day & Date : Wednesday, 30 July 2008 (public holiday)
Time : 10.00 - 12.00 (session 1) & 13:00 - 15:00 (session 2)
Venue: Function room 2nd level - St. Francis Assisi Church - South Jakarta

Participants: 12 choirs from Assisi Church - exclusive.

Songs preference: O Salutaris Hostia ( Franz Liszt; Beethoven), Cantate Domino (Pitoni); Iesu Rex Admirabillis (Palestrina).

What is my interest most??? Pipe organ? or Piano?

I guess ... I like both of them... Pipe organ and Piano. But what most? Considering my capability, during 15 years I learned Pipe Organ or Orgel. I think it is time for me to choose which instrument I want to focus on. I realize and aware that piano is quite expensive to be bought. What about pipe organ? I guess it's kind more difficult to buy pipe organ... where will I put that in my house.. Even I have already share my room with my organ. I slept with it.

Dilema? no..not really. If I could turn back my time, I want to learn both... and keep focus on those instruments.

The part that I like most to be played at pipe organ is TROUMPHET VOLUNTARY... wow.. it's amazing.. the sound fully every corner of the church.

Well, anyway.. now I have decided to focus on pipe organ...
